#InkTober2016 Day Seven: Lost
This is day seven of my InkTober Project as I take part in Jake Parker’s 2016 InkTober Initiative.
For my Inktober Project not only am I using the 2016 InkTober prompt list for inking but I’m overlapping it with the theme of cycling which is another of my passions.
Today the prompt is ‘LOST’.
Inktober Day Seven. Lost.

US Embassy Site
I took part in the Developing Landscape project bringing together artists, interested in exploring and painting the changing landscapes of South West London.
I was disappointed to find the US Embassy is emerging from the Embassy Gardens site as an uninspiring glass cube of square and oblong windows.
While I drew, I wondered if the finished construction would reveal a more creative endeavour to better represent America, for current and future generations to enjoy, to be a notable feature of the London landscape and enhance the riverside view.
I soon realised I was sitting and drawing yards away from the Edward Snowden wall mosaic that had not so long ago appeared on a brick wall presumably deliberately close to the US Embassy. There was a large square of unglazed area on the embassy building so I used the Snowden mosaic to fill the space.
