The Nilgiri tea promotion required my illustration, leaflet design and photographic art direction. The leaflets were mailed to Selfridges customers and were displayed around the store at the point of sale in the food hall.
I painted my central illustrative piece directly onto balsa wood veneer. This was not only to provide a natural background but it was influenced by the wooden tea packaging of the promoted product for which I also directed the studio photography.
The illustration formed the background for my leaflet designs.
